This time, the only free version is Mandriva One 2011.0, which is a live-cd distro as well as an installer. The other one is the Mandriva Power Pack 2011.0, and I'm not in such a hurry to purchase a paid-version; not before I thoroughly examining the free one. When I started downloading, I was a little bit taken aback by the 1.6GB size. I'm not worried about the internet connection, but I was more than a little bit surprised to see how Mandriva One has grown in size since the previous version. Before this one, a Mandriva One will fit a standard 700MB CD, and now I need either a double layer mini DVD or a standard 4.7GB DVD (which means wasting the remaining 3GB of unused space). The download itself took me about 2 hours to finish, and burning the ISO file into a DVD took only 10 minutes. I believe Manjusri Grha was its original name, meaning the house of Manjusri. Manjusri is a bodhisattva associated with transcendent wisdom in Mahāyāna Buddhism. Yesterday afternoon I took there again, not to see the shrines as we used to do but to visit the restoration studio, named Studio Manjusri Grha. It operates on daily basis until 4 pm, and they also have a small audio-visual theater now, performing a brief film on the restoration and maintenance efforts.
